Cell Phone Microscopes

Professor Aydogan Ozcan at the electrical engineering department at UCLA has developed a technology that allows health workers to use cell phones to image cells in patient’s blood. These cell phone microscopes miniaturize the functionality of optical microscopes into devices that can be incorporated into regular cell phones.
